Homer P. Dove, age 85, died at a local hospital on Monday, June 1, 2009. He was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation and was a rancher for many years. He was born to Bryant William and Sophia L. (Coquat) Dove on January 26, 1924 in Oakville. He married Jeanie Carroll on June 2, 1948.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Clay Carroll Dove, grandson Trey Dove and sister Loryle Dove Barnes.

Survivors include his spouse, Jeanie Dove of Three Rivers; two sons, Bryant Kimball Dove and Connie Alaniz of George West; Kip Randoll and Regina Dove of Three Rivers; one daughter, Drusanne and Cliff Hunter of Three Rivers and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Tuesday, June 2 from 5-9 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Graveside service will be Thursday, June 4 at 10 a.m. at Lonesome Dove Ranch, Live Oak County.
