As of Tuesday, June 2. Scooter Kamm’s wife, Lisa, reported that he is waking up. Scooter wants to stand up out of his wheelchair. He is constantly reaching for his children, giving them kisses on their heads and giving his wife and sister hugs.

Scooter is going through a phase, learning limitations.

Lisa is trying to get the ear, nose and throat group that performed Scooter’s facial surgery to allow him to take speech and swallow training.

Scooter is still on a feeding tube. But Lisa believes that he is getting ready to want to eat and drink on his own.

A tracheotomy hopefully will be performed this weekend.

Scooter was in a car accident on April 27, while driving his 1963 Stingray Corvette home from work.

He was flown by helicopter to a San Antonio area hospital, due to serious head injuries.

Scooter has suffered some broken ribs bilaterally, and mandible fracture among several fractures to his face.
