He started a refinery in Silsbee. This company manufactured a product which was used to break down detergent clogging rivers. Later he sold this company to Atlantic Richfield.
He was born Aug. 9, 1918 in Houston to Henry Cantey and Mary Blair Breaker.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Dorothy Zarsky Breaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla McAllister of Houston and Janeen Gorton of Corpus Christi; two sons, Richard J. Breaker of Woodsboro and Steven Breaker of Fayetteville, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, with Dr. Jimmy Arnold officiating.
