The students taking the Upward Bound (UB) classes this summer at Coastal Bend College took a break from the classroom and met their teachers and CBC staff on the softball field on Tuesday night. The students were too much to handle as they rallied to blast the CBC team 14-6 in the fun-filled contest.
The CBC team played hard and enjoyed a cool treat of a popsicle or two in one inning. The power hitting of CBC’s John Trejo, who smashed at least two home runs went for nought as the UB squad had too much firepower and enthusiasm to overcome.
But, there were really no losers on Tuesday night as the evening was all about fun, fellowship and friendship.
