The Skidmore-Tynan Lady Cat softball team garnered a few postseason accolades from the District 31-2A coaches. The all-district teams and the honorable mention list was recently released with S-T senior pitcher Nicole Hudson earning a first team spot.

The Lady Cats were in a tough district this year with state-ranked George West, Refugio, Odem and Three Rivers getting much of the attention. Hudson was joined on the first team pitchers’ list by Refugio’s Alyssa McMahon and Three Rivers’ Rachel Dockery. Maggie Hamm from GW was named as the district’s MVP.

The Lady Cats also placed junior outfielder Beth Gonzales on the district’s second elite team. Earning honorable mention status for the Lady Cats were Kristen Gonzales, Britany Menchaca and Liz Torres.
