Funeral services are pending at Treviño Funeral Home for Consuelo Barrientes. Mrs. Barrientes, 87, of Beeville, died on Thursday, Jan. 31, in Corpus Christi.

Funeral services are pending at Angelus Funeral Home for Juventino “J.J.” Perez. Mr. Perez, 66, of Beeville died on Thursday, Jan. 31.
Mr. Sanchez
Jose G. Sanchez Sr., 80, of Olton and formerly of Beeville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008.
He was born April 22, 1927, to Jose and Maria Garcia Sanchez.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Rosario A. Sanchez of Olton; four sons, Jose Sanchez Jr. and Thomas Sanchez, both of Olton, San Juan Sanchez of Bay City and Santiago Sanchez of Gatesville; four sisters, Sacarias Sanchez of Olton and Maria “Mae” H. (Manuel) Garcia, Benita Campos and Linda (Arturo) Barrera, all of Beeville; two brothers, Guadalupe Herrera Sr. and Luis Herrera Sr., both of Beeville; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
Pallbearers were Jamie, Tony, Billy and Rene Sanchez, San Juan Sanchez Jr. and Troy Gooden.
