Mr. Cuevas

Mr. Enrique S. Cuevas, 64, of Beeville, died on Saturday, May 10, 2008.

He was retired from Pride Auto and enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe Cuevas and Augustina Salinas.

He is survived by four sons, Enrique, David, Roberto and Rolando Cuevas, all of Beeville; one daughter, Jeanette Hogue of Beeville; three brothers, Vivian Cuevas and Benito Cuevas, both of George West, and Felipe Cuevas Jr. of Eustace; three sisters, Frances Rodriguez of George West, Geneva Chavarria of Dallas, and Lupita Rusand of Red Oak.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Treviño Funeral Home. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery # 2.

Pallbearers were Enrique H. Cuevas, David H. Cuevas, Roberto H. Cuevas, James Hogue, Fernando Perez Jr. and Vivian Cuevas.

Judge Garza

Judge Fred V. Garza, 77, of Beeville, died on Friday, May 9, 2008.

He was born on Dec. 4, 1930, to Alfredo Garza and Romana Villarreal. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, president of the Holy Name Society, president to the G.I. Forum, Beeville school board member, Spohn Hospital board member, owner of the Bee Furniture Co., manager of U.S. Credit Life and Universal Insurance. He owned and operated Bee Motors and served 15 years as municipal judge for the City of Beeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Treviño Garza of Beeville; two daughters, Velma (Joseph) Latronico and Dolores (Larry) Garcia, both of San Antonio; four grandsons, Brian Latronico, Patrick Latronico, Garon Garcia and Aaron Garcia; two granddaughters, Kristen Felts and Lea Garcia; and three great-grandsons.

Rosary was recited on Sunday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated there at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.

Pallbearers were Brian Latronico, Patrick Latronico, Garon Garcia, Aaron Garcia, Walter Felts and Roy Trejo. Honorary pallbearers were Amado Gonzalez, Juan Sanchez, Alex Garza, Jesse Garza, Tomas Delgado and Martin Sanchez.

Mr. Gonzales

Mr. Jorge “George” Gonzales, 51, of Skidmore, died on Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Beeville.

He was born on Feb. 22, 1957, in Beeville to Dora Almendarez Gonzales and Edelmiro Gonzales Sr. He was a 1976 graduate of Skidmore-Tynan High School and had received an associates degree in business administration from Bee County College. He worked at NAS Chase Field and was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edelmiro Gonzales Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Dora Almendarez Gonzales of Skidmore; one sister, Esther (Jesse) Perez of Beeville; two brothers, Indalecio “Andy” Gonzales and Edelmiro (Alicia) Gonzales, both of Skidmore; and two stepbrothers, Carlos Gonzales of Houston and Tomas (Karen) Gonzales of Arizona.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Skidmore. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.

Pallbearers were Andres Del Bosque, Manuel Del Bosque, Eloy Almendarez, Jesse Edward Perez, Mardonio Del Bosque and Mariano Del Bosque.

Mr. Mancias

Mr. Roman C. “Pico” Mancias III, 36, of Beeville, died on Thursday, May 8, 2008.

He was born on June 29, 1971, in Beeville to Dominga Bentancourt Mancias and Roman Mancias Jr. He was a construction worker and a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his son, Roman Mancias IV of Victoria; his daughter, Desiree Marie Mancias of Victoria; one sister, Rebecca (Ramon Morales) Mancias of Victoria; two brothers, Kay (Lina Amador) Mancias and Richard (Yolanda Camareno) Mancias, both of Beeville; his maternal grandmother, Refugia Vela of Beeville; two nieces; and three nephews.

Visitation was held from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Angelus Funeral Home. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.

Pallbearers were T. Bone Ramirez, P.J. Castaneda, Paulino Juarez, Paulino Juarez Jr., Juan Gonzales and Eddie Landeros.

Mr. Roy Vasquez Jr., 21, of Beeville, died on Saturday, May 10, 2008.

He was born in Beeville on Jan. 13, 1987, to Roy and Dolores Vasquez. He worked for Corpus Christi Gasket Co.

He is survived by his fiancée, Crystal Brothers of Beeville; parents; Roy and Olga Guerra Vasquez, and Dolores Perales, all of Beeville; one daughter, Serena Vasquez of Beeville; four brothers, Andrew, Nathan and Cody Vasquez and Eric Sam Gonzales, all of Beeville; one sister, Valerie Nicole Vasquez of Beeville; his maternal grandparents, Jose Perales Sr. of Brady and Maria G. Calderon of Beeville; his paternal grandparents, Alicia and Mike Vasquez, both of Beeville; one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church with burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Vasquez, Eric Sam Gonzales, Michael Perales, Michael A. Perez, Patrick L. Schlemmer and Eli A. Rodriguez.

Funeral services are pending at Treviño Funeral Home for Mr. Raul “Bully” Villarreal. Mr. Villarreal, 60, of Beeville, died on Tuesday, May 13. He was born on Nov. 24, 1947, to the late Joaquin Villarreal and Belia Hernandez.

Funeral services are pending at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home for Naomi Campos Wilson. Mrs. Wilson died today (Wednesday).
