JHS Booster Club golf tourney

The Trojan All-Sports Booster Club will hold a golf tournament on Saturday at the John C. Beasley Municipal Course in Beeville.

The cost is $75 per player and $300 per four-man team. The entry fee includes green fees, cart, and a hamburger dinner after the tourney. The Fisher-Factor handicap system will be used to even the field. Cash prizes for first through third places range from $750 for first to $300 for third. Longest drive contests for both male and female golfers will be held along with a closest-to-the-hole competition and a separate putting contest. A hole-in-one will be awarded a car or $10,000. All prizes are based on a full field of 18 teams.

7-on-7 car wash

The Beeville Trojan 7-on-7 football team will be hosting a car wash at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Store on Sunday, June 29, beginning at noon through 5 p.m. Proceeds will be used to help fund expenses for the two day 7-on-7 State Tournament in College Station on July 11-12. All Donations will be accepted.

Bee County Boxing Club ‘shoot-out’

The first BCBC “Young Gunz Shoot-Out” will be held on Saturday, July 12, at the Beeville Boys and Girls Club. The club invites everyone to come out and enjoy 25-30 amateur bouts of USBA sanctioned boxing matches.

Coed softball tourney

A coed softball tournament is set for July 12 at Beeville’s Veterans Memorial Park. Entry fee is $100 per team with awards going to the top two finishers. Play will begin at 9 a.m. and all proceeds from the tournament will go to the benefit of Mitchell and Terry Arredondo. Men’s summer softball league forming

A men’s slow pitch softball league is now forming. Contact 358-5856 or 358-1213 for more information and to sign-up to play ball.
