The Singing Men of South Texas is a 40 voice men’s choir composed of ministers of music from Southern Baptist Churches from the Hilt Country through the Rio Grande Valley. Once a month, the group gathers in a South Texas city to rehearse and present an evening concert
The concert, which is approximately an hour and a half in length, consists of selections of sacred music, gospel music, spirituals, and contemporary Christian praise and worship music. Director, Tommy Lyons has been leading the group for over 25 years.
The Singing Men of South Texas is one of six similar groups from throughout the state. They have sung around the world during mission projects to Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Romania, Moldova, Northern California and New England.
This is an event that your entire family will enjoy. There are no reserved seats and no admission charge. A free-will offering will be taken with proceeds going toward the next mission project of the Singing Men of South Texas.
