All students, both new to Skidmore-Tynan ISD and returning S-TISD elementary students, are required to register for the 2009-10 school year. Student registration for the new school year allows the school to have an accurate student enrollment number and the staff members needed when the new school year starts.

Registration packets can be picked up at the elementary office beginning Monday, July 27, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and returned to the school office for their formal registration, according to the schedule below. Elementary students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when the completed registration packet, with parent signatures, is brought to the school office.

Monday, Aug. 3: 8 a.m. to noon – New student registration; and 1 to 4 p.m. – Kinder and first grade

Tuesday, Aug. 4: 8 a.m. to noon for second grade; 1 to 4 p.m. for third grade

Wednesday, Aug. 5: 8 a.m. to noon for fourth grade; and 1 to 4 p.m. for fifth grade

Parents with children in more than one grade level can register all children on the same day.

All new students registering must provide the district with the following information: original birth certificate, current immunization record, student’s original Social Security card, legal guardianship papers if child does not reside with parent(s); proof of residency (electric bill, phone bill, etc.); and end of year report card from previous school (if applicable).
