The following sentences and dispositions were handed down during the month of May in Refugio County Court with Judge Rene Mascorro presiding.

• A charge of assault causing bodily injury, family injury on May 19, against Frederick Lee Adams of Corpus Christi was dismissed. No reason given.

• Fernando Pereira Alvarez of Houston was sentenced to 75 days in jail with credit for time served, for possession of marijuana less than two ounces on May 5.

• Ryan Lee Autry of Woodsboro was sentenced to 30 days in jail and assessed community service, for driving while intoxicated on May 19.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated on Nov. 15, 2008, against William Jeffrey Berill of Lamarque was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• Mikel Jerome Brown of Refugio was fined $500 with $281 court cost for possession of marijuana, less than two ounces, on March 3. Defendant was placed on one year deferred adjudication.

• Howard Hughes Burchkhalter of Portland was sentenced to 18 days in jail with credit for time served, fined $1,000 with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated, second offense, on April 30.

• James Rudolph Byars of Robstown was fine $100 with $281 court cost for possession of a controlled substance, less than 28 grams, on Nov. 18, 2008. A charge of possession of a dangerous drug on Nov. 18, 2008, was dismissed in consideration of previous disposition.

• Julian Pena Flores of Rio Grande City was sentenced to 43 days in jail with credit for time served, for driving while intoxicated on Oct. 3, 2008.

• Tenisha Renee Franklin of Refugio was sentenced to 60 days in jail, fined $1,000 with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on July 30, 2008.

• A charge of theft ,greater to or equal to $20 but less than $200 on Dec. 24, 2007, against Alice Garza of Refugio was dismissed. Defendant has paid restitution.

• A charge of theft, greater to or equal to $20 but less than $200, on May 26, 2008, against Tammy Lynn Gonzales of Refugio was dismissed. Defendant has paid restitution.

• A charge of possession of less than or equal to two ounces of marijuana on Nov. 15, 2008 against Felipe Gonzalez of Corpus Christi was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• Samson Hernandez of Refugio was fined $500 with $281 court cost for possession of marijuana, less than two ounces, on Feb. 8. Defendant was placed on one year deferred adjudication.

• Ernest Lopez Herrera of Corpus Christi was sentenced to 40 days in jail with credit for time served for driving while intoxicated on May 5. A charge for failure to appear on Aug. 21, 2008 was dismissed in consideration for previous disposition.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated on Oct. 25, 2008 against Ryan Lance Howell of Bloomington was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated on Oct. 29, 2008 against Gunter Samuel Kelly of Ganado was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• A charge of possession of marijuana, less than two ounces on Nov. 28, 2008 against Jesse Lee Landry of Cedar Creek was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated on May 19, against Fernando Martinez of Rio Grande City was dismissed.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated on Jan. 1, against Eric William Merks of Refugio was dismissed. In consideration of previous disposition.

• Joshua Thomas Molina of Victoria was fined $500 with $281 court cost for possession of marijuana less than or equal to two ounces on Oct. 11, 2008. Defendant was placed on deferred adjudication for one year.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated on June 29, against Josh Robert Moore of Ingleside was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• Roy Michael Munoz of Corpus Christi was sentenced to 60 days, fined $750 with $281 court cost for possession of marijuana on Feb. 3 Defendant’s sentence was suspended and he was placed on one year misdemeanor probation.

• A charge of failure to appear on Oct. 16, 2007 against Patricia Ann Nava of Houston was dismissed. In consideration of previous disposition.

• A charge of reckless driving on March 14, against Juan Salvador Navarro of Brownsville was dismissed. In consideration of previous disposition.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated with open container on Oct. 22, 2008 against Benjamin Donald Patrick of Bishop was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• Ruby Leigh Rodriguez of Refugio was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee and $279 court cost for possession of marijuana, less than two ounces, on May 28, 2006. A charge of assault causing bodily injury on June 8, 2007 was dismissed. A charge of criminal trespass on June 24, 2007 was dismissed. A charge of evading arrest on June 24, 2007 was dismissed. A charge of resist arrest search or transport on June 24, 2007 and May 29, 2009 was dismissed. A charge of criminal trespass on June 22, 2007 was dismissed.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated on Jan. 1, 2008 against Garbriel Scott of Houston was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• Calvin Bruce Staggs of Corpus Christi was fined $500 with $281 court cost charge of possession of marijuana, less than two ounces, on Feb. 26.

• A charge of driving while intoxicated on April 4, 2008 against James Louis Stark of Corpus Christi was dismissed. Defendant has completed pretrial diversion.

• Jenaro Carrizales Tamez of San Benito was sentenced to 53 days in jail with credit for time served for driving while intoxicated on May 5.

• Irene Ybarra Vasquez of Corpus Christi was fined $200 with $281 court cost for wrong altered obscured vehicle registration on Feb. 22.

• Alejandro Aguiree III of Bayside was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on March 6. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Juan Baltierra of Sulphur La. was assessed a $500 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Dec. 23, 2008.Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• James Rudolph Byars of Robstown was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $1,000 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Nov. 18, 2008. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Norma Reyes Contreras of Refugio was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Dec. 21, 2008. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Michelle Dina Lawson of Woodsboro was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Feb. 15, 2009. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Raul M Martinez of Hanceville Al. was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Jan. 14, 2009. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Charmaine Rachell Moore of Nixon was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Jan. 10, 2009. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Jaron Kyle Post of Victoria was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $2,000 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Oct. 24,2008.

• Samuel Balderas Pruneda of Channelview was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $371 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Feb. 2, 2009. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Johnny Mack Pursell of Refugio was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $256 court cost for assault causing bodily injury on Feb. 8, 2009. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Deadra Elaine Shaw of Corpus Christi was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Feb. 7, 2009. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• John Henry Simmons of Austwell was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $396 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Oct. 19, 2008. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Vidal Soto of Miami Springs Fla. was placed on ninety days pretrial diversion, assessed a $200 PTD fee with $254 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Nov. 20, 2007.

• Javier Delacerda of Hidalgo was assessed a $200 PTD fee with $254 court cost for duty status not being current on Nov. 8, 2008.

• Billy Ray Green of Refugio was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $300 PTD fee with $256 court cost for assault causing bodily injury on Feb. 8, 2009. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Dante Osiel Hernandez of Houston was assessed a $500 PTD fee with $281 court cost for possession of marijuana, less than two ounces. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Antonio Lee Jr. of Refugio was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $500 PTD fee with $394 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Feb. 15, 2009.

• Junaid P. Momin of Richmond was placed on one year pretrial diversion, assessed a $2,000 PTD fee with $394 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Dec. 27, 2008. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.

• Steve Muguerza of Refugio was placed on six months pretrial diversion, assessed a $200 PTD fee with $256 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Nov. 1, 2008.

• Juan Salvador Navarro of Brownsville was assessed a $4,000 PTD fee with $394 court cost for driving while intoxicated on Feb. 14, 2009. Early termination after 90 days if all fees paid and no violations.
