Gilbert Martinez faces a possible life sentence and a $10,000 fine if he is convicted of a charge of aggravated sexual assault.
According to the indictment, Beeville Police Department investigators alleged that Martinez had sexual contact with a girl under the age of 14 on July 15, 2004. District Judge Joel Johnson set bond on that indictment at $25,000.
Also indicted was Joe Anthony Soliz on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, four-200 grams with intent to deliver. The charge is a first degree felony.
Bee County Sheriff’s Office investigators charged Soliz with the offense in connection with a March 9 incident in which he was allegedly caught with the drug. Bond was $15,000.
Others indicted include:
n Andrea Marie Jasso on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, four-200 grams with intent to deliver. The charge is a first degree felony. Deputies alleged that the defendant had the drug on March 9. Bond was $15,000.
n Steve Reyna Cerda, Jr. on three counts of aggravated assault, threat with a deadly weapon.
All three charges are second degree felonies. If Cerda is convicted he could be sentenced to as many as 20 years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
Deputies claim that the defendant threatened to run over three people, including one child under the age of six, with a motor vehicle on April 15. Bond was $5,000.
