When applying for the Head Start program, parents must provide the child’s birth certificate, a 1040 or most recent check stubs.
To be eligible for Head Start, a child must be at least 3 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2009 and family income will be according to the 2009 HHS Poverty Guidelines.
The Head Start program offers services to meet the special needs of children with disabilities and provides transportation.
