Leading scorers for the team were Jamie Wilson with 14 points; Toni Martinez, six; Kasye McCool and Taylor Perez, five each; Melissa Zuniga. three; Desirae Perez and KaLynn Abila, two each.
“The entire team has to be commended for a great defense,” said Coach Rhonda Perez. “They have all improved 100 percent and I am so proud of each and every one.”
The seventh grade district record is 4-5. The Lady Eaglets close out the season at home on Tuesday, Oct. 28, against Yorktown, with game time at 5:30 p.m. Coach Perez encourages everyone to come and support the team.
The seventh grade Lady Eaglets defeated Ganado 25-18 and 25-17 in their game on Oct. 13.

Abila and Paige Manson contributed to the win with great passes and setting the ball, the coach said.
“The entire team showed a lot of determination that ended with a great win,” said Coach Perez.
