Congratulations to Pawnee ISD for achieving the second highest possible rating this year from the Texas Education Agency. The rating of “Recognized” does indeed provide appropriate recognition of the outstanding educational environment and accomplishment at Pawnee.

As a resident and taxpayer in Pawnee ISD, I am very proud of the achievements of the excellent administration, teachers and support team at the school. The students in our district, as well as students from Beeville and Kenedy, who can attend at no cost including free bus transportation, are really very fortunate to be able to study at Pawnee.

The students have small classes that provide unique opportunities for student-teacher interaction and learning in an orderly environment. In addition, a new school building with all new equipment will be ready for occupancy in December and each junior high student will be getting a laptop computer this year.

In conclusion, in times where one reads so many negative stories about America’s schools, it is a privilege to be able to acknowledge a successful school with its proven and unique culture of small classes, technology and structure that leads to demonstrated and recognized academic accomplishments.

Hats off to Pawnee ISD.
