Bazer ‘grand slams’ professional awards

COLLEGE STATION – Dr. Fuller Bazer, a distinguished professor in Texas A&M University’s department of animal science, is the first individual to be the recipient of all four major awards given by the Society for the Study of Reproduction.

The society presented him the 2009 Trainee Mentoring Award at the organization’s 42nd annual meeting held in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Along with the mentoring award, Bazer also has received the society’s three other top awards: the Carl G. Hartman Award, the SSR Research Award and the SSR Distinguished Service Award.
