He was born in Columbus, Texas on Feb. 4, 1935, to James and Mae Eddie Callicott. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired oil field worker.
Mr. Callicott was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Toy Kay Vannoy.
Survivors include his special friend, Patsy Callicott of Mathis; two daughters, Vickie (John) Steen of Mathis and Donna (Aaron) Bell of Corpus Christi; one son, Robert (Corie) Callicott of Hot Springs, Ark., one brother, Thomas Callicott of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Friday at 2 p.m. in Glenwood Cemetery with military honors.
