In make your voices heard by Mrs. Pendley on Aug. 12, she said that she was being attacked by our president and everyone that lives in the White House. As a matter of fact, she called them enemies and she even dislikes Ruben Hinojosa. Wow.
I think all this Tea Party and health care protesting is being done wrong. I am very surprised at you, Mrs. Pendley, because you used to be a very Christian lady.
Our president, no matter what color he is, should be respected, honored and even obeyed in all he does. The word of God says we must pray for our leaders, our president, our governors. These people are not our enemies, they are put there by God and we should respect them. I believe this medicine brawl should stop. Protesters are people that are un-American and people that don’t have respect for other.
I believe that people are just protesting because Mr. Obama is black and protesters are trying to make our president look bad because he is black and this is the wrong way of doing it. After all, where were the protesters when Clinton committed adultery and when Bush guided us into a misguided war that has caused us trillions of dollars against a country that did not attack us to settle his father’s vendetta against Saddam Hussein? Where were all the protesters when all these things were happening?
Mrs. Pendley, you should go back to the basics of God and maybe you can start loving everyone. Every person deserves to have health care, so if a person wants health care, get a job and start working or move to Russia. And don’t forget Obama is our president. Respect him. I know you didn’t vote for him and don’t forget it seems that everything that happened in the past decade is his fault. But that is not true. All of this mess in America started before Obama was president.

Claims Ms. Pendley is unchristian because she exercises her constitutional rights to disagree and protest peacefully? Judge not least you be judged, Pastor.
You have your God, Pastor and I have my God. Mine hasn't said anything about appointing any leaders, honoring any leaders, nor has he told me he put them in their positions.
If as you say, God put Obama in his position as President, then he has a real healthy since of humor.
Protesters are unamerican? That statement doesn't even deserve a comment. Hey Pastor, ever hear of the Boston Tea Party?
Now there is one statement I think I agree with in the Pastor's letter to the editor. "Every person deserves to have health care, so if a person wants health care, get a job and start working or move to Russia." Right on, Pastor. Keywords are "get a job and start working."
