The S-T girls captured a straight set win over the Odem Owls on Tuesday night to remain undefeated in district at 4-0 and improve their overall record to 15-7.
The first set was all S-T as the Lady Cats held the host Lady Owls to just 14 points. The second set was a little closer at 25-19 but the S-T girls had a 2-0 lead in the best of five match.
Set three reverted back to a dominating performance from the Lady Cats. The final score was again 25-14 with the S-T girls capturing the win for the match in three straight.
Rachel Mengers led the S-T team in kills with 10 on the night. Mengers also patrolled the net with teammate Kathy Acosta for three blocks apiece. Mengers and Jennifer Pueblo both served two aces in the victory.
D’Anne Wilder assisted on 15 Skidmore-Tynan points. Mengers also had a team-high eight digs on the night.
The Skidmore-Tynan sub-varsity teams made it a sweep as the JV squad won 2-1 with sets at 23-25, 25-20 and 25-21. The freshman (or JV-2) team made it a clean sweep with a 27-25 and a 25-21 victory over the Lady Owls.
The S-T girls play Bloomington on Tuesday night on the road.
