• Assault causing

bodily injury

On Oct. 1, at 12:10 p.m. Sgt. Dean Ochoa was dispatched to Thomas Street to investigate a fight in process.

According to reports a 29-year-old man stated that a 25-year-old female slapped him and he hit her back.

The female reported that they started arguing and for no reason he started to hit her and kick her. The woman had a red bump on her head and reported that she was pregnant but did not think she was hit in the stomach.

EMTs checked the victim, but she refused to go to the hospital.

The man was taken to Refugio County Jail for assault causing bodily injury.

• Phone harassment

Officer Enrigue Diaz investigated a report of phone harassment on Sept. 28.

According to the report a 23-year-old female stated that she had been receiving several calls and text messages from a 25-year-old threatening to beat her up and to call CPS on her.

A report was filed and she was advised to file a complaint at the Refugio County Attorney’s Office.

• Woodsboro incident

Marshal John Pope investigated an incident on July 31. A 68-year-old Woodsboro man was fined for assaulting a 29-year-old cable man on Burton street.
