The Refugio Volunteer Fire Department fire crew treated kindergarten students of Refugio Elementary with a tour of the fire department and first graders with an on-site fire safety presentation.

Students watched as Brad Skrobarcek demonstrated what a firefighter would look like searching their home as Ronnie Williams discussed the importance of having a fire escape plan.

Proudly wearing their fire hats, each child had an opportunity to shoot water from the fire truck’s water hose.
