The Bobcats took the opening kickoff and scored very quickly after a 14-yard run by Cameron Sternadel. The Bobcat defense did its part on the next series when Joe Williams intercepted a Hebbronville pass to set up the offense on their own 42-yard line.
Two plays later, Sternadel scored on a 55-yard pass from Brett Davis. Juan Ramirez kicked the extra point to make it 14-0. A long drive by Hebbronville made the score 14-8.
Late in the second quarter Refugio would strike again as Malcom Franklin scored on an 18-yard run. The game stayed 21-8 until the fourth quarter when Davis tossed a 26-yard touchdown pass to Sternadel once again.
On the following kickoff John Wesley Shipp delivered a crushing hit to force a fumble. Chris Williams scooped up the ball and raced in from 32-yards out.
Juan Ramirez kicked the extra point. He was 5 for 5 on the evening. The game ended 35-8.
Defensively Andrew Garcia, Shipp, Jacob Solis and Davin Henderson had outstanding games.
