The Boys & Girls Clubs of Live Oak County announced they will hold official registration for their 2010 Youth Basketball League on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 am to 12 noon at the Three Rivers club and from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the George West High School gymnasium.

Parents can pre-register by downloading the registration form from the Boys & Girls Club website at www.bgcliveoaktx.org, clicking on news and events, and then on the basketball league link. Registration forms with payments can be dropped off at either club prior to registration or completed on registration day. This year there will be a $10 late fee for all registrations received after Nov. 14th.

All Live Oak County youth ages 6-12 interested in learning to play basketball are encouraged to register. The league consists of 24 teams with rosters of 10 players. Late registrations are not guaranteed a position if teams are full.

The basketball league will be an eight week season beginning Saturday, Jan. 9, and ending on Saturday, March 6. (Practice begins on Dec. 14.) A game schedule with times and locations will be available in mid-December at the Boys & Girls Clubs and on the club website.

Registration for the 2010 league is $50 per child, with a $10 discount for additional children in the same family. There will be a $10 additional fee for late registrations. Sample jerseys will be available at the office and during registration day to determine correct sizes.
