The Bulldogs will play 29-2A Champion Vanderbilt Industrial in round two of the playoffs. Industrial won the district despite Hitchcock topping the list in every leader stat category for the district. Hitchcock finished third behind Industrial despite having a quarterback that threw for 2,519 yards in the season.

Vanderbilt Industrial has Austin Smiley at quarterback with 99 yards for the season. The strength lies in the backfield with backs Micah Montes and Lucas Gaspar and Blaine Rozer. The Cobras also have a reputation for being hard hitting on every play. The Cobras appear to dominate the Bulldogs in size of the players, but as everyone knows, it’s not the size of the Bulldog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the Bulldog.

In last weeks contest against Odem, Industrial scored once in the first, third and fourth quarter with Odem scoring their lone score in the second quarter.

Final score was Industrial 21, Odem 7.

The Bulldogs struggled with the Seahawks this past week before pushing through some adversity to come out on top 14-7.

This match up is going to be interesting to watch and will not be the game that most people are expecting.
