The Live Oak County VFW Post 6119 has formed a committee to keep up to date information on Live Oak County military personnel; active duty, retired or deceased.

The information is simple and quick, but vital for us to maintain an accurate account of Live Oak County patriot’s and hero’s, who served or are currently serving stateside or overseas. We currently have a list of deceased military personnel, but needs to be updated. We want every Live Oak citizen who served their country to receive the recognition they deserve. Currently there is no system in place for families of military personnel to obtain or preserve information on their loved ones on a local level. Please remember that this is for Live Oak County residents only.

This collection of information will allow the LOC VFW to act as a point of contact to local organizations, churches and schools.

This information will help our VFW and other local organizations provide recognition to all who served. The VFW provides graveside recognition as well as care packages to personnel currently serving overseas in the war zone.

Call Rudy Pena, VFW Commander, at 786-3599 or mail in the following information.

Please indicate if the veteran is active duty, retired, or deceased and specify branch: Army, Navy, Air Force, marines, or Coast Guard. List full name, duty station address or cemetery name/location.

Your support is appreciated.
