Volunteers have decorated the 22-room Berclair Mansion with trees, nativities and ornate antiques for the Christmas Home Tour.

Shirley O’Neil said that this is the first time the mansion, built in 1936, will be on the tour but believes that it will draw a lot of visitors.

The dining room is decorated as though an elaborate dinner party was planned that evening while the sitting rooms, entryways and even the stairs are filled with seasonal adornments.

Robert and Brenda Wooden home

at 1606 Las Palmas Circle

Brenda was raised in Beeville and Robert was in the military.

They have lived in this home about six years.

Inside the home, visitors will find Santas tucked in corners and on shelves. Of course, a Christmas in every room is a must, including a special one that contains songs from a hymnal that belonged to her mother.

Starr and Boyd Bauer Home, High 5 Ranch, 2185 CR 308

Starr Bauer has spent the past week placing Precious Moments figurines, Santas and ornaments of every type throughout her home.

She even decorated one tree to honor her favorite team — the Texas Longhorns.

From a Barbie doll tree in one child’s room to a Hallmark ornament themed tree in another, the house is filled with decorations.

She said that Sunday morning she would spend hours decorating their barn for visitors to peruse.
