Joy Ministries will host a Christmas Dinner and fellowship of encouragement at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20 at the Community Center.

Pastor Joel Garcia said the message for the event will be taken from Luke 2:13: And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid’ I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you; you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.

“What a humble beginning for our Savior who came to deliver us from sin, strong holds of fear, death and condemnations of our falling short of the glory,” Garcia said. “A Savior who can calm the storm and bring peace and good will to men.”

Garcia said the community is welcome to join Joy Ministries at the Community Center for the Christmas dinner and fellowship.
