Texas wildflower workshop planned at Welder Wildlife Refuge near Sinton

Spring is the perfect time to learn about the wildflowers that grow in the Coastal Bend of Texas during the annual Wildflower Workshop at the Welder Wildlife Refuge near Sinton on Saturday, March 27.

Dr. Lynn Drawe, former Director of the Welder Wildlife Foundation and well-known range plant ecologist, will lead workshop participants through an introduction to wildflowers and native plants and teach the steps for identifying plants using a key in the field. Dr. Drawe’s program will include both classroom instruction and activities in the field.

The workshop is limited to a maximum of 25 individuals and pre-registration is required by March 23.
