The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB) in Temple has limited funds to spend treating Mesquite in the Nueces and Frio River Watersheds.

If you are in the Frio or Nueces Watersheds and in Live Oak, McMullen, LaSalle or Frio counties and are interested in what this program has to offer, call Beto Gonzales with the TSSWCB in Benavides at 361-256-3342, ext.3 or Robert Gibbens with the NRCS in Tilden at 361-274-3221.

“We need time to process and develop contracts, so don’t delay. Spraying will most likely be done in late May to early June,” said a TSSWCB representative.
