Community Chorus to perform in Goliad

The Beeville Community Chorus will present its annual choir concert at the Mission Espiritu Santo, located in the Goliad State Park. The concert will be held on Saturday, April 24, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The performance will be a variety of sacred anthems, folk songs and spirituals, including such anthems as “Sing Out for Joy,” “O Breath of God” and “A Future and a Hope.” Several popular folksongs, such as “Shenandoah,” “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” and “All My Trials” will be featured. “Elijah and Joshua” will be an exciting arrangement of the popular spiritual. The concert will close with a medley of songs from the musical “Stop the World – I Want to Get Off!”

Dr. James Lee will conduct as the artistic director of the Beeville Community Chorus with Nona Schorp as accompanist.
