Mrs. Jesusita Contreras, age 86, died on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, in Beeville.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1922, in Beeville, to the late Teodoro and Josefita Bazan Maldonado.

Survivors include her husband, Eliazar Contreras of Beeville; one daughter, Linda (Martin) C. Garza of Beeville; one step-daughter, Rosa Contreras of Houston; three sons, Joe R. (Margarita) Gomez of San Antonio; Ruben (Leticia) Gomez of Fort Worth and Antonio M. (Balentina) Gomez of Beeville; three stepsons, Frank Contreras of Tennessee, Juan Contreras of Rosenberg and Eliazar Contreras Jr. of Brownsville; one brother, Virgin Maldonado of San Antonio; one sister, Dora Alicia (Feliz) Ramirez of Houston; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Contreras was preceded in death by one son, Rodolfo “Rudy” Gomez.

A prayer service were held at 7 p.m. Sunday, at the Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral services were at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Treviño Funeral Home. Burial followed at Evangelico Cemetery.
