It was a busy day at Brush Country Cowboy Church on Mother’s Day. The BCCC Band played great gospel music as the service began. The big blue horse trough was brought out and fourteen people were baptized. Children and adults made the decision to follow Jesus.

This was also a special day for families as the baby dedication took place. A line of parents presented their children to the congregation as they pledged to teach their children about Jesus.

Pat Traxler, Pastor, was joined by Reverend Allen Clearley during the baptisms and baby dedications as he helped to baptize his grandson-in-law and dedicate his great-grandson.

Children handed out pretty pink roses during the service to each mother and grandmother.

This was Team Roping day at BCCC. After much work the rodeo arena was ready for action. The sermon brought by Pat Traxler pointed out that no matter how many events you win, you can’t be a true winner without Jesus in your life. After the service, everyone headed out to the arena for the Team Roping.

One hundred and twelve teams competed for the top four places in the Team Roping average. $1,000 added money was included in the pay off. The Team Roping Average winners are: 1st Place–Brady Atkinson and Dustin Mueller, 2nd Place–Travis Meyer and Bubba Chamberlain, 3rd Place–Stephan Stewart and Lynn Thornton, 4th Place–Derick Pullin and Dustin Mueller.

The little ones roped, too! A miniature arena was set up for a goat roping. As the team roping went on, the youngsters were entertained with an event of their own.

The BCCC Chuckwagon Team was there all afternoon to provide great food and drinks for the crowd.

It was a great day at Brush Country Cowboy Church with Jesus as the focus. Come join us in worship each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome. Come as you are. Bring a friend.
