Many thanks to everyone in the community who purchased a ticket and attended the recent production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical, “Oklahoma.” The production was presented by the Coastal Bend College Community Performing Arts Project and the music and drama departments. Your presence and support was an encouragement to the members of the cast and the directors. Many thanks are sent to each merchant and individual who purchased an ad in the “Oklahoma” program. Your willingness to support the production with your advertisement was an important part of the success of the musical.

It takes many people giving of their special talent and time to make a production successful. Many thanks are sent to all the people who had a part in making “Oklahoma” a wonderful success and memory for many.

Thanks to the Bee-Picayune and Coastal Bend College for the fine publicity given on the production. Special thanks to Dr. Tom Baynum, president of CBC, for his encouragement and support of the performing arts and the Coastal Bend College Performing Arts Community Project and the re-establishment of the music and drama departments.

Sincere appreciation and thanks to everyone who has expressed positive compliments and comments on the Oklahoma production. The community’s enthusiasm and eagerness for more performing arts projects and events at Coastal Bend College have been both appreciated and gratifying.

Dr. James Lee
