The Skidmore-Tynan Lady Cat softball team finished the district race in a tie for third and made it to the bi-district round of the playoffs for the first time in a few years.

The good season leads into several of the Lady Cats earning postseason all-district accolades that were announced recently by the district’s coaches.

S-T All-District 30-2A first team selections included pitcher Kayla Martinez, catcher Tabatha Crow, designated player Aaliyah East and outfielder Susanna Yzaguirre.

The district’s second team included S-T teammates Kristen Gonzales at third base and outfielder Brenna Hinds.

Two Lady Cats were named to the honorable mention list for the district, shortstop Gabbie Garibay and first baseman Lexi Lopez.

With most of the team returning next year, coach Gary Epps looks to have the Lady Cats primed for another good season and postseason playoff run.
