Three Rivers student earns state association scholarship

Coastal Bend College Educational Talent Search participant Veronica Yzaguirre, of Three Rivers High School was selected for the Texas Association Student Services Program Scholarship.

Yzaguirre plans to attend Texas A&M University in Kingsville. The check was presented by Talent Search Project Director Lupe Ganceres and Mary Garza, Talent Search counselor.

The Talent Search program provides academic, career and financial counseling to participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to the postsecondary institution of their choice.

The goal of ETS is to increase the number of youths from disadvantaged backgrounds to complete high school and enroll in postsecondary education institutions.
