Mr. Rosenbaum was born Sept. 4, 1947, in Runge to Francisco and Natalia (Ramos) Rosenbaum. He married Oralia Pardo on April 12, 1969, in Beeville and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Mr. Rosenbaum graduated from Skidmore-Tynan High School and continued his education at Bee County College and Texas A&I University where he studied political science. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, during which he earned a Purple Heart. He was the proprietor of Tynan Grocery Store and took over his father’s business as a septic tank installer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Natalia Rosenbaum; a brother, Frank Rosenbaum of Houston; and a sister, Maria Elida Ceja of Dallas.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Oralia Rosenbaum; two sons, Richard (Holly) Rosenbaum and Raul Rosenbaum II; two daughters, Cynthia (Terrence) Meineke and Melany Rosenbaum; three brothers, Juan, Rogelio and Tony Rosenbaum; one sister, Rosa Rendon of Papalote; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Saturday at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. A prayer service was held there on Sunday at 7 o’clock with Deacon Rogelio Rosenbaum officiating. Special music was provided by Matiana Cruz, Corina Constante and Natalia Rendon.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, with Father Luke Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 with full military honors.
Pallbearers were Daniel Pardo, David Pardo Jr., Arturo Rendon, Joe Rendon, Justin Williamson and Kethan Dominguez.
