Aspiring filmmakers will have a chance to compete July 7-14 during annual Corpus Christi 7-day Film Project.

Team leaders must register before noon June 21.

CC7D is an annual filmmaking competition/screening conducted by the Corpus Christi Film Society. This year will be the fourth installment. It was designed to celebrate area filmmakers, both veterans and amateurs, create an avenue for more filmmaking activity in the area, boost the skill set and create resume experience for local actors and crew, boost both amateur and experienced filmmakers’ skills and have a lot of fun in the name of local filmmaking.

The entire filming process must occur in seven days. This year, that time period will begin on Wednesday, July 7, at 6:30 p.m. and end the following Wednesday, July 14, at a time to be determined at the kickoff party.

The completed films will be screened at Harbor Playhouse in August followed by an awards presentation for the best films and performances at House of Rock.
