I am trying to promote the radio and emergency operations of Bee County. We are getting really active with the EOC now and wish to help promote the need for volunteers to help the EOC during a disaster or when needed for volunteer help. Not just for radios but anything David Morgan may need help with – answering phones, being on the web dealing with e-mails, helping people find help and a safe place to go and things like this.
We just need a good turnout to really open the eyes of the county that we are here as a volunteer group to help in emergency times to be sure Bee County has a good communications system in place to get the help we need if phones and other means of communications are down. Please read www.ARRL.com if you need more information on field day. I did add the next test session and the free skywarn class to this new ad and also updated the places to include Live Oak, now holding a field day for folks to go and enjoy a day.
Thanks for your continued support of Bee County and for the radio club in general. It is appreciated. It means a lot to us to promote the use of radios and David Morgan’s hard work to prepare for a disaster in Bee County. Phone 542-4366, Fred Rugar KE5HTB. I am the AEC ARES radio group for Bee County and a State RACES member for radio group also.
Sincerely,
Fred Rugar
