Firemen were called to the scene at 11:42 a.m. and told that the tank had been burning since the previous day.
According to the report on file at the C.M. “Smitty” Smith Central Fire Station, seven firemen arrived at the scene and used 10 gallons of foam and 600 gallons of water to put out the fire.
Only one truck was needed at the scene and firemen were back in Beeville by 1:20 p.m.
The tank was owned by a Falls City company.
