According to a report filed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, 29-year-old Ty Michael Salyer of Alvin and 40-year-old Steven Alan Miller of Magnolia both died at the scene on U.S. Highway 77 about eight miles south of State Highway 239.
Salyer was driving north in the southbound lane in a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu at about 9:28 a.m. and Miller was going south in the southbound lane in a 2008 GMC Sierra when the two collided.
