I’m writing to inform people that, just because you go to court and make payment arrangements when your license is suspended, doesn’t necessary mean that your suspension will be lifted. I made payment arrangements, with another county, and have been paying every month for 15 months. I pay what the court agreed to allow me to pay, but I was still arrested for invalid license in July. My license is valid, but the county where I got my tickets has a hold on my license. Come to find out that a hold and suspension are the same thing, depending on what the officer chooses to do. Just beware to always show up for court and always check your license status. I feel that this is wrong. If the courts agree to my making payments and I am making them, why should I continue to be punished even though I’m paying? Just another injustice of our judicial system.
Always ask questions when in court. Always ask if there will be a hold on your license or can the hold be taken off after paying a certain amount. Ask questions. It will only help you have a better understanding.
