Refugio Elementary students presented their H-E-B Partner in Education with a signed thank you card this week.

Gilbert Gonzales and Tarin Jones presented the card to Mark Bruton, H-E-B store manager and Johnathon Thieme on behalf of Refugio Elementary students and staff.

“H-E-B has been generous in their donation of school supplies and is a partner in education with RISD,” said Jennifer Perez-Lara. “H-E-B recognizes the value in supporting the youth of the community through their many sponsorship efforts.

“We are truly lucky to have such great organizations like H-E-B,  The Refugio County Soil and Water Conservation District, and Mission Ridge Nursing Home that helped us this year by supplying our students school supplies,” Perez-Lara said.
