Storyfest is just around the corner, and children of all ages will want to visit the H-E-Buddy Land children’s area. The Texas Junior Anglers will have their Catch Tank on hand where visitors can create their own stories about “the one that got away” or their own tall tales stretching the truth about the size of the one they caught!

Children and adults will enjoy hours of excitement fishing at this portable fishing pond, stocked with adult fish that range in size from 1 to 6 pounds. These fish are willing to give a hardy tug on the line! The Catch Tank is staffed by Texas Junior Angler Personnel who will supply rods, reels, and bait, as well as assist participants with this catch-and-release fun. Special equipment for handicapped youth will be available.

Texas Junior Anglers is a non-profit organization that aims to get children of all ages exposed to fishing. Fishing is a lifetime sport that builds self-esteem and provides a positive outlet for our youth. Involving children in a sport that provides equality for race, gender, age, and physical/mental abilities provides a means of relaxation and a time for family communication, while encouraging a lifetime enjoyment of the Texas outdoors.

Visitors won’t want to miss one of the Edzoocational Animals Shows when they take a break from fishing. Noah’s Way’s Edzoocational Animals Show is an interactive show teaching children about animals from around the world. Children can hold a Coatimundi, play with a Prairie Dog, touch a giant Sulcatta Tortoise, learn about Cockatoos, and have the experience of a lifetime. Show times are 11 a.m., and 1, 3, and 5 p.m., in the H-E-Buddy Land children’s area.
