The Junior Service League of Beeville will present the Boot Scramble and High Heel Marathon on Thursday at 7 and 7:30 p.m., respectively.

Entries for the High Heel Marathon

Pre-registration is $10. Registration on Thursday is $15.

Awards will include prizes for: First overall Male and Female Runner, Best Dressed/Costume, Prettiest Shoes and Most Unique Shoes.

Distance: One block.

Runners need to be 13 years of age or older.

Heels should be at least 2 inches in height.

First place award is only for the winner wearing high heels.

Entries for Boot Scramble

Pre-registration is $5. Registration on Thursday is $10.

The Boot Scramble will include two races: The first race for ages 6 years old and younger; the second race for ages 7 to 12 years old.

Awards will be given for first place in each age group and Best Dressed/Costume Overall.

Participants must be registered by 6:45 p.m.

Proceeds from both events will be go to the Texas Breast & Cervical Cancer Services Program.
