Live Oak County sponsors third annual ‘Pig Out’

Kolter Hughes of Three Rivers was named Pee Wee Showmanship winner at this year’s third annual “Pig Out” held this past weekend.

The 2011 Live Oak Pig Out was a huge success! This is the Three Rivers 4-H Club’s third year to hold this swine prospect show. We had 87 pigs entered and 49 showmen. The judge was Phil Shakelford, Extention Agent from Austin County.

The show would not be possible without our sponsors: James Pawlik Water Well Service, First State Bank, Staghorn, Pioneer, Magical Touch, Valero Refinery and Three Rivers Farmer’s Co-op.

Our winners are as follows: Overall Grand Champion, Rebekah Wagner of Poteet and Overall Reserve Champion, Joey Lee of Riviera.

York Champion, Joey Lee of Riviera; York Reserve Champion, Joey Lee of Riviera; OPB Champion, Garret Van Damme of Hondo; OPB Reserve Champion, Garret Van Damme of Hondo; Hampshire Champion, Joey Lee of Riviera; Hamp Reserve Champion, Shawnie Wagner of Poteet; Cross Champion, Rebekah Wagner of Poteet and Cross Reserve Champion, Joey Lee of Riviera.

Showmanship Winners were Senior, Joey Lee of Riviera; Junior, Kimmi Rihn of Sabinal and Pee Wee, Kolter Hughes of Three Rivers.
