Great Texas Sculpture Roundup will be hosted by Beeville Art Museum

The Beeville Art Museum will host an exhibition featuring works by 30 Texas sculptors, including Jesus Morales, Lee Littlefield, Sharon Engelstein, Paul Kittleson, Sharon Kopriva, Joe Havel, and The Art Guys. Larger sculptures will be on view outside, on the museum grounds, with smaller works on view inside the museum building. The exhibit will run from Jan. 24 - April 17.

Curated by sculptor Lee Littlefield in collaboration with Tracy Saucier, Director of the Beeville Art Museum, the exhibition represents works of artists from all over Texas, including Austin, Beaumont, Brownsville, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Lubbock, Rockport, San Antonio, Waco, and Wimberley. Many of the artists will be present for the exhibition opening on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2-4 p.m.

The Beeville Art Museum is a teaching museum, dedicated to the concept of art as a positive force in the development of creative skills and thought. The Joe Barnhart Foundation has created comprehensive educational programs at the museum, including exhibitions of renowned artists and collections from museums, galleries and private collections from across the state, docent-conducted tours for students, lectures and workshops.

The Beeville Art Museum, located at 401 E. Fannin, is open to the public 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday. To contact the museum, please call 361-358-8615.
