He was born to Aniseto and Juanita Saenz on Nov. 16, 1934 in Three Rivers. He was a heavy; equipment operator for Live Oak County, precinct # 2 for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother John Saenz.
Survivors include his wife, Basilia “Bessie” (Martinez) Saenz of Oakville; two sons, Ruben (Alice Trevino) Saenz and Ray (Sue) Saenz all of George West; one daughter, Esmerelda (Larry Vigar) Pierce of Oakville; four brothers, Joe Saenz of Oakville, Jesus (Diana) Saenz of Three Rivers, Victor (Linda) Saenz of Pleasanton and Albert (Mary) Saenz of Three Rivers; seven sisters, Santos Saenz of Three Rivers, Consuelo (Ramon) Amaya of Houston, Delores (B.B.) Rodriguez of Three Rivers, Felipa (Ruben) Hernandez of San Antonio, Esperanza “Maria” Dominguez of Three Rivers, San Juana Aguilar of Florida and Mary Alice Saenz of Plainview; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were K.C. Saenz, Thaddeus Pierce, Ashton Pierce, Victor Saenz, Johnny Saenz, Dickie Rodriguez, Jorge Saenz, Eduardo Matinez.
Honorary pallbearer was Bryan Smith.
Visitation was held Friday, March 4, from 1-6 p.m., with prayer service at 7 p.m., at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.
Funeral service was held Saturday, March 5, at 10 a.m., at the La Fe Hermosa Church in Oakville. Burial followed at the Oakville Cemetery in Oakville.
