This nice-looking white-tailed buck was drinking water and eating the green grass near a cistern on a ranch in Live Oak County Saturday in the middle of the day. Not even an approaching truck on the highway or human voices could scare him from this oasis in the midst of this exceptional drought and daily 100 plus-degree heat.
