The Three Rivers Bulldogs hosted the Odem Owls on Friday, Jan. 9.

It was a defensive battle from the opening tip. The Dawgs scrapped for every possession but missed several key free throws in the 4th quarter which halted any comeback attempt that the Bulldogs had in mind.

The Final was Owls 34, Bulldogs 29. Preston Pennington scored 13, Trevor Wells 8, Jacob Moran 4, Logan Muniz and John Morgan Ross contributed 2 each.

The Bulldogs are now 8-8 on the season (1-1 in District). They will host the Freer Buckaroos on Tuesday (Jan. 13) and travel to George West on Friday. Game time for both varsity boys games is slated for 8 p.m.
