Courtney Smith and Adam Strause were united in marriage June 25, 2011 at 6:30 p.m., at the Garden of Cranesbury View in New Braunfels. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Steven Gaither. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Courtney is the daughter of Mike and Lynette Smith of Leander. She is the granddaughter of Duane and Dorothy Babitzke of Canyon Lake and Hannah Masey of Roebuck, SC. Adam is the son of Kim Strause of George West and David Strause of Corpus Christi. He is the grandson of Cecil and Maona Mixon of Kenedy, Carie and Bettie Tullis and Jean Strause of George West.

The bride wore an absolutely stunning strapless Allure bridal gown of soft organza. The fitted bodice was ruched asymmetrically with embellished detailed accents on the side seam. The skirt was layers upon layers of organza.

Amanda Smith, sister of the bride served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Chelsea Couch, Ellen Dailey, Christine Weaver and Nicole Bell. Flower girl was Miss Kathrine Locke, cousin of the bride.

Tracy Mixon Jr., cousin of the groom was best man. Groomsmen were Kole Weber, Dustin Wentz, Wood Harrod III and Scott Bednorz. Usheres were Andrew Bush, Kris Landord, Chance Overstreet and Troy Chatman.

Carrie Mixon, aunt of the groom sang as the lit the Unity Candle.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner consisting of Parmesan crusted chicken, prime rib, mashed potatoes and a garden salad. The bride’s cake was a four layer Amaretto Cream Cake with strawberry filling. The groom’s cake a two layer chocolate cake with raspberry filling. The tables were decorated with beautiful centerpieces of hydrangeas, roses, candles and scattered crystals. Music was provided by DJ Masquerade in which guest were entertained and celebrated throughout the evening.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Courtyard Marriott in New Braunfels. Guests enjoyed a tasty fajita dinner.

The bride is a graduate of Texas Tech University and is employed at Denton Regional Medical Hospital. The groom is also a graduate of Texas Tech University and is employed at NationStar Mortgage in Lewisville.

The couple enjoyed a seven day cruise to the Bahamas for their honeymoon. They will reside in Lewisville.
